I am the great grandson of William Alonzo "Lonzo" & Arminda Delcina "Minnie" (Herring) McCullar. They had a daughter, Opel Inez, who married Vernon Eugene "Cotton" Tanksley. Cotton's mother was Lula Madeline (Peerson) Tanksley. Lula's father was John Joseph Peerson, Jr.

I hope the relationship information makes sense. My mother told stories of visiting the Peerson Family when she was a child and when I was a teenager there was a Peerson home between the bottom of Fox Hill and the old 101 School House south of Bokoshe Mountain. I remember visiting them and hunting with them.
