Hendrix Old Photos
This was the home of Benjamin Hughes Hendrix. The house is no longer standing. Benjamin (1870-1944) son of George Washington and Mary A. B. (Gant/Balch) Hendrix. He married Mary Adeline Boston. Their children were: Felix, Elizabeth, John Edward, Cecil, George Washington, Charles, James Dudley, Hazel Mae, Hugh Edward, and Effie Lois Hendrix. Benjamin had a heart attack on the street in Lawrenceburg. He was carried to the office of Dr. Crowder where he was pronounced dead.

Louisa "Lizzie" Balch - married Lewis Houston Cole and was a half-sister to Tennie Hendrix, Jasper L. "Jack" Hendrix, and Benjamin Hughes Hendrix. She was a step-sister to Emma Hendrix, Tabner Byrd Hendrix, James Daniel Hendrix, and Earlie Hendrix.
George Washington Hendrix and Mary A.B. (Gant/ Balch) Hendrix had five children. Two daughters are not in the above picture; Martha "Mattie" Hendrix, and Netter Roe Hendrix.
George Washington Hendrix married Sarah Walker after the death of his first wife, and they were parents of four children. All our are in the above picture. George Washing Hendrix is buried between his two wives in Noblit Cemetery in Giles County, Tennessee.
George & Sarah (Walker) Hendrix Home
The home of George Washington and Sarah (Walker) Hendrix on Sugar Creek. George Washington Hendrix's house is believed to have been across the road from James Appleton's house. The house was before you get to the ford of the creek from Dobbins cemetery.
Taber Byrd Hendrix Family
The following information about the Tabner Byrd Hendrix family was found by Roger P. Hendrix, in Nov. 2012, while searching Ancestry.com. Based on the Ancestry.com information the photo was taken in late 1913 or early 1914 (done by assuming the youngest person in the photo was Dorothy and guessing her age in the photo to be around 1 year old. Also, Thomas B. Hendrix, being the youngest and not in the picture. Another interesting bit of information is that Thomas B. Hendrix is named as a Junior. If this is true then Tabner Byrd's real name is Thomas Byrd Hendrix.

Thomas Byrd "Tabner" Hendrix and Corness Harrison had one child; unfortunately, both mother and child died during childbirth. Corness and child are buried at Noblit Cemetery.
Tabner married Lola Jane Burch in 1906 in Tennessee, USA. She was born on 18 Jun 1890 in Alabama, USA. She died on 30 Jan 1971 in Pico Rivera, Los Angeles County, California, USA.

Obituary for John Dee Hendrix from The Pulaski Citizen 15 NOv 1944
Funeral service for John Dee Hendrix, 52, who died at 3:40 o'clock Monday afternoon, November 13, at his home in the Fourth Civil District, after several months illness, were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Appleton Church of Christ. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Hendrix is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hattie Dee Hendrix; two sons, Delmer Hendrix of Crossville, and Franklin Hendrix of Manor Hill; two granddaughters; his mother, Nancy Elizabeth Hendrix of Appleton; three sisters, Mrs. Fannie Oliver, Mrs. Linnie Plott and Miss Eula Hendrix, all of Appleton; four brothers, Will Hendrix, Huron Hendrix and Roy Hendrix of Appleton and McKinley Hendrix of Watts Barr.

Linda also indicated that Thomas' wife as a school teacher and a principal of an elementary school.
