Ruth's sister, Nora Belle Blan married Robert Lynn Stanley.
The following are to stories (memories) of Nora Belle (Blan) Stanley.
On the land near their home was a single small Christmas tree.
One Christmas season, Nora Belle decided to cut the little tree.

A Christmas Story

Kenneth Clyde  started working in the shaft/underground coal mines at the age of 14 and
continued to work in the mines near McCurtain, Haskell County, OK until they stopped operation/closed.

Nora wrote this story of her father working in the coal mines.

A Coal Miner's Daughter

Nora married, Robert Lynn Stanley, who is a descendant of this famous Stanley person:

Stanley, Thomas - 1st Earl of Derby

Mary Marie (Miller) Ingram was Ruth and Nora's maternal grandmother.
Atwood Dillard married Mary Marie (Miller) Ingram after Mary's first husband passed.

Atwood played minor league baseball for a while in his younger days. Atwood sent a family friend a postcard with a picture of him in uniform. This card was later given to a Kenneth Dupree Blan, the oldest son of Kenneth and Eddie Belle Blan.
